5 on Friday

If you're visiting via the link-up tool, I apologize for my photo cropping mishap...whoops!

1.  Forever 21 Tanks

I am an avid tank-top wearer.  I have gotten dressed every single day for the last ten years or so by first wearing a tank top.  It doesn’t matter if it is summer or winter; the tank top goes on first.  I feel like it makes my other shirts lay better, even t-shirts and sweatshirts, and I feel like they hold in all my wobbly bits.  Am I the only one out there that does this?  Maybe it’s weird.  Anyway, they have to be soft, long, and durable.

A few months back I purchased two black and two white extra-long tanks from Forever 21.  I’ve been wearing them every day and they are still looking good!  Needless to say, I went back and picked myself up another black one, a white one, and also a nude.  Ladies, check these out.  They are only $3.90 each!

2.  Santa’s Here….Already

Yes, it’s true.  Santa is officially out and about.  We took a trip to a local furniture store this past weekend and were blown away when we saw the signs directing us to go and visit Santa.  I was certain it was simply for future reference but when we went around the corner we saw the North Pole.  Tessa was beyond excited and the next thing I knew we were standing in line to see the jolly ‘ol man himself.  Of course, when it was Tessa’s turn she completely froze.  I ended up sitting on Santa’s lap and then Tessa sat on mine.  It was quite the show, I assure you.  She refused to talk or look at him or Mrs. Claus.  When we got up to leave she had a mini breakdown because she “didn’t get to tell Santa what she wanted.”  We were that family in line that took forever, but she managed to say four special items she’d like under the tree this year.  They include a candy cane, bells, a puzzle, and a reindeer.  Shouldn’t be a problem, right?

Loving Christmas

After that little adventure we went to Costco (along with the rest of the town) and were greeted with tons of Christmas decorations.  Whether we like it or not, Christmas seems to be everywhere.  We continued the trend by going home and putting up some greenery on the mantle and laying out the Christmas towels and pillows.  I really am excited for the holidays this year after seeing little Miss so excited!  In fact, I’m thinking the remainder of the decorations will make an appearance on Saturday.

 3.  Snow

Tuesday morning we woke up to snow.  Yes, it’s true.  It’s not even Thanksgiving yet and we had our first snow fall of the season.  It wasn’t much,  not even enough to cover the ground, but I still saw the white stuff and I wasn’t overly happy about it.  Tessa ran down the stairs, looked out the window, and screamed with excitement about how she wanted to build a snowman.  I, of course, thought her reaction was adorable but couldn’t possibly share in the enthusiasm.  Don’t get me wrong, I love snow, but I only love it for two days – Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.  After that, I don’t want to see it, walk in it, or drive in it.

I Know Baby Boy, That's How I Feel About Snow Too
Unfortunately, they are calling for snow again tomorrow, 1-3 inches.  Here's hoping they're wrong and it will be sunny and 65! (I've always been a dreamer).

4.  Starbucks Share Event

If you haven’t heard the news already, it’s that time of year when you and a pal can enjoy a warm tasty holiday drink for the price of one at Starbucks.  From November 12th to the 16th you can receive a free holiday beverage when purchasing one of equal or greater value.  This is only on the holiday drinks though.  I’m not a huge Starbucks fan-yes, I said it-but I do enjoy their holiday drinks.  We took the kiddos to the mall last night to get some energy out (that’s what we do in this neck of the woods when ‘ol man winter comes) and David and I treated ourselves.  It was magical tasting my first peppermint mocha of the season.  What a great excuse for all of you to meet up with a friend or have some quality time with a loved one, right?

5.  Par-tay Make-up Style

As you know from my last post, I’m having an online make-up party through Younique.  I really enjoy their 3D mascara and I wanted to share the love with friends and family.  It was not an easy task to invite people to the virtual party on Facebook as I had to do it by entering in individual letters of the alphabet.  Then, it only would populate approximately five people.  That being said, there may be some folks that I missed.  If you are interested in Younique make-up or just want to know more about it, here is a link for you to access the party.
