Our 'Whole' Weekend Together

We managed to have a very productive, yet relaxing weekend during David’s official “whole” weekend off from work.  Yes, an entire Friday, Saturday, and Sunday away from work.

I’m slightly embarrassed to admit that we were able to finish unpacking some totes from our move (nearly two years ago), get most everything moved from the garage to our storage in the basement, deep clean a majority of the house, hang our new light fixtures, and fix some odd-ends around the house that have been continuously pushed off.  It felt so good to actually get some work done on our place.  With him working every weekend, we take the majority of the time we have together to do activities as a family.  That’s wonderful and all, and definitely the priority, but then we’re left with projects that never seem to get completed.  Some I choose to tackle myself…with two little ‘helpers’ by my side.  I’m sure you can imagine how that typically goes.

Then on Sunday we took a break from it all (even though I still have quite the list to go) and we spent some quality time together.  We enjoyed the beautiful weather outside, watched the Cowboys throw away another game, and enjoyed a yummy meal with some neighbors.
