Shepherds Pie

You guys, I feel like a regular Paula Dean over here!  Except I’m not a one woman show; I have a pretty attractive co-chef alongside me. ;)
There was another recipe that I had been itching to try.  Since it was a rainy day and the hubs was off shift, he decided to take the lead and cook up this wonderful concoction.
Now, I’ve never had regular Shepherds Pie so I didn’t know what to expect going into this recipe.  And, I have completely despised sweet potatoes up until the last six months or so.  I’m not sure what has changed there, but now I can’t seem to get enough of them!
Here’s the skinny on this wonderful meal.  I may or may not have purchased everything that the recipe lists.  Some of that was due to me just forgetting and the other was because I had no clue what the ingredient was.  And yes, I am ‘one of those cooks’ who flies by the seat of my pants because quite frankly I’m not really a cook.  No rules in my kitchen (and I’m sure that makes some of you anxious)!
That being said, we eliminated the tomato paste and the coconut aminos from our recipe (really, what is that) and it was still FAN-TASTIC!  I am not joking on how amazing this meal was and how quick it all came together.  I suppose it would be great if you were following the paleo and/or Whole 30 diets too but I’m definitely not one of those people!  You only live once, am I right?
It is another grey sky day here in Iowa so if you’re close by the store, I suggest you grab these few ingredients and enjoy!  Here's the link to this must-make recipe.

  1. Coconut aminos is just another way to get amino acids in your diet! Liquid aminos are becoming pretty popular lately :)
