1. Wish List Turned
Shipment
Okay everyone, the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is now open to
the public! I have been adding to my
wish list like a mad woman over the course of the last week. I may or may not have had twelve different
items on my list that I was lusting over.
I knew the hubs, nor the bank account would delight on the idea of
purchasing everything but I did order a couple of items that I need first thing
this morning. Yep, there’s nothing like
enjoying your cup of coffee and shopping at 6am.
The first item I ordered was this perfume. I have about three squirts left of my current
scent since lately I have been having to share it with a certain four year old.
;) The small bottle alone will run you
$75 so I was ecstatic to see this gift set for basically the same price.
The second item I ordered was these leggings. My sister-in-law has mentioned this brand to
me countless times and I have yet to pull the trigger on trying them. For some reason it is hard for me to try
something new without ever seeing and/or trying them on in a store (we do not
have a Nordstrom around here). The hype
on these pants has been amazingly positive that I truly think I will be
impressed. As a side note, I read that
this line was created/designed for Nordstrom from a previous employee of Lulu
Lemon and they are just as good, if not better in terms of quality and performance. At this price point, under $30, what do I have to lose!
2. A Regular Chef
I don’t know if you saw my other posts from this week, but I
we have been cooking up a storm at our house.
We tried two new recipes this week and both of them were really
wonderful. If you haven’t looked them
up, take a gander and give them a whirl.
I think you’ll be impressed as well.
In keeping with the theme of food, my favorite thing to talk
about, I am dying to mix up these bars.
I love lemon, I love blueberries, and I love sweets. It sounds like a win-win recipe to me!
I am traveling this weekend so I don’t know
if I will get an opportunity to mix these up or not. But, they will definitely be my go-to sweet
for my next get together or group event.
I want to test them out before summer sneaks away from us.
You can find the recipe on my Pinterest page or at this link, via Two Peas and Their Pod.
4. Why Don’t I Have A
Garden
I ask myself this question almost every week. I love having fresh vegetables around the house. The hubs and I eat them, and my kiddos do a great job with many different types as well. It would be so nice to go to the yard, pick them, clean them, and cook them. I know the answer to this question though. I hate gardening. In fact, I hate pretty much anything that involves the yard or dirt. I wasn’t born with a green thumb and I don’t have much patience for learning and to be completely honest, I have no desire to tend to a garden. I just want the end result. ;)

But check this out; my children ate an entire container of tomatoes at dinner last night. These turkeys can’t get enough of them.
5. Coffee Station

I saw the cutest idea to make a little coffee station in your kitchen. One of my favorite things to do is go for conversation at a coffee shop. There is just something special about having a warm beverage while you catch up with family and friends. The only thing that could make that activity better is to have your own little set-up in the coziness of your home. I wonder if the hubs would go for something like this?

That coffee shop is the cutest!
