I'm sure you all spent your weekend anxiously checking the blog for a hair report, am I right? ;) Well, yesterday was the big day and I hope you aren't disappointed as I am really excited with how it came out. Despite my desire to go lighter, my sytlist convinced me to stay dark (my natural color) until it gets a bit healthier. I have completely neglected my hair since we moved so the ends were horrible and it is so very dry. That being said, we touched up my roots to make my natural brown hair blend in with the darker bottom. I also did a conditioning/gloss treatment to soften my hair and make it shine. It actually looks a shade or two "warmer" as well. As for the cut, I framed some pieces around my face and cut off a very healthy 3+ inches. I went for a very blunt cut in the back and love how it lays. Unfortunately, I didn't have David take any photos last night. In an attempt to not drag on the reveal any longer, you are blessed with a work-bathroom picture.
I indulged in a sea of magazines and a nice glass of red wine. Hello, pampering!
In other news, my parents had a brief visit until Saturday morning. Brady saw my dad and crawled/walked right too him. Isn't this the sweetest?
Also to report is that we made it to church yesterday at 9:35. The service starts at 9:30 so with only being 5 minutes late, I'd say that was a win for the Burns family! To our luck, yesterday celebrated 50 years that the church had been around so they consolidated services and did a special dedication service at 10:00. (How did we miss this)?? That being said, I'd like the record to official state that the Burns family was 25 minutes EARLY for church (because we all know that would never cease to happen in my lifetime)! Since we had some time to spare, we let the kiddos play outside for a bit. We also managed to capture this photo.
After church we ventured to the store to get some fixings for chicken noodle soup. I had been craving it all week and desperately wanted to make a pot. After I got home from my haircut, I started chopping veggies and about an hour later we were filling our tummies. The soup was a hit! It's rare to find something all four of us will/can eat these days.
She has to have her own cart. Luckily we only needed a few things this trip!
I can't wait to have more tonight!!
I hope everyone has a wonderful Monday! Doctors appointments and gymnastics for us - hopefully both go well!

I'm loving reading about your updates with your cute and super sweet family. It's like catching up with you through your blog. Love watching Brady and Tessa growing up. Is it creepy that I'm reading your blog in your voice? Haha.. I personally think that your hair color and cut is just gorgeous. Wishing you more happy posts and adventures in future.
