Sanity Saturday

Today started out like any typical Saturday.  The kids and I lounged around the house, drank our coffee (milk), played with toys until the living room looked like a tornado went through, and took our time getting ready for the day.
He is into EVERYTHING.  Even though he's little, he is very quick!
The cool temps arrived just in time for the weekend.  Play was limited (non-existent) outside today.
I managed to get a few Halloween/Fall decorations up with the help (hindrance) of the littles.

My favorite little candy dish from Pier 1.
I use to detest these as a child and now I can't get enough of the colored corn syrup and sugar.
I even managed to bake my favorite banana bread.  The smell it leaves in the house is amazing!

Then around 4 pm (once B-man woke up from his nap) all h@$# broke loose.  He and sis have been battling ear infections this past month.  I am convinced Brady still has one after Round #3 of antibiotics.  We called the pediatrician on Friday but unless he runs a fever, we are to hold off on doing anything until Monday morning.  Both kiddos visit the ENT at that time.  To top it off, another tooth was peeking through.  Little man was fussing, whining, or crying for the next 3 hours.  The only relief was if I held him tight.  I did my best to make dinner for Tess and keep her entertained, all while carrying a 13 month old.

Since I was fresh out of Three-Buck Chuck (yes, I'm classy - thank you Trader Joes), I went for the next best thing and had myself a heaping bowl of Peanut Butter Captain Crunch.  This may or may not have been followed up with a (some) Halloween Oreo (s) and a Drumstick (the ice cream version).
Clean Eating = Yes, I did clean up after I ate the above listed items.
As you can see below, the night ended just fine.  After lots of cuddles, some Tylenol, and a big bottle of his special milk (almond); he was my happy little man and ready to pass out his kisses.  Now let's hope this trend continues for a peaceful night!
