I have never had nice hair. There, I said it. The first stage is admitting and accepting, right?
I just wasn't one of those gals blessed with long, thick, and lustrous locks. In fact, my hair is thin, fine, and bleh. Regardless, I work with what I got. A month ago I set up an appointment for a cut and color. It was scheduled for two weeks ago on a Monday...my hair is the same. This mom made her night out at the same time as Tessa's gymnastics class. Typically that wouldn't have been that huge of an issue, but it was on a day where David was on shift. So, that appointment was rescheduled for this weekend. I am LONG overdue for a change and have spent nearly every day this past month with my hair towering on top of my head. I say it's because of the kiddos ;)
Anyway, my hair now is long and very dark - similar in color to this photo.
Here's where all of you come in. Which color should I go with and what length? Should I keep the dark tone for winter and only get a trim?
Should I go with more of a "truffle" color (that's how the picture described it, I'm not that creative.)
Or more of a carmel tone?
Finally, should I keep the hair long or travel back to 2009?

| I had to throw this oldie in. This was in California at David's graduation from the fire academy. A little hair was finally growing back but he was Way Too Skinny. |

I like the color from the birthday cake picture, and think a shorter style would be a refreshing change.
