Strawberry Pretzel Dip

If you saw my post on Friday, I had made mention that I was going to make a new recipe, Strawberry Pretzel Dip.  I had sent David to the store earlier in the week for the ingredients and whipped it up on Friday night.  Turns out, it was a hit so I want to share the yumminess with all of you.  You can find the recipe on my Pinterest under Sweet Tooth.

Funny story though, the recipe is titled Strawberry Pretzel Dip.  I am following the recipe and adding the ingredients in the order it says.  I get to the last step of adding in the fruit filling and fold in my cherry pie filling.  It doesn’t even occur to me that the recipe says strawberry and that I am adding cherry.  In fact, I brought this dip to a neighborhood gathering on Friday night (shared the recipe) and to a football party on Saturday (shared the recipe) and it wasn’t until my cousin made the dessert for her family celebration yesterday that I realized I had made the dessert incorrectly!  My cousin, her husband, and I have now tried both versions…the correct way with strawberry (that she made for her party) and the incorrect way with cherry.  And you know what?  They’re both fabulous.  I plan on making this again with blueberry!  Doesn't that sound amazing? 

 

But really, how did I send the hubs to the store for the wrong thing, read the recipe wrong, share the recipe incorrectly, and have to be told days later I did it wrong?  Ugh, I am my mother. ;)
