Labor Day

I can't believe the holiday weekend is over.  It is always so bittersweet.  I was hesitant if I was going to make the trek to the lake this year due to our overwhelming sickness that we all endured.  Yet, I knew I would regret it come Saturday afternoon.  Needless to say, late Friday night I packed up the kids and we made the trip up North.
This little turkey can't get enough of the water.  She jumps off the boat and swims by herself.  We've come a long way over the summer with her bravery.  It is so fun to watch though.
All that swimming takes a toll.  The boat is the best place to rest.
I haven't attempted wakeboarding since the summer before I became pregnant with Brady.  It was on my summer bucket list so the first morning there was semi-calm waves, I gave it a whirl.  I am happy to report that I got up on my first try and it all came back to me.  I guess it is a bit like riding a bike!
This boy and his grandpa.  He was by his side every waking moment.  There's lots of mutual love there.
Monday morning was a big deal for Mr. Brady.  He managed to catch and reel in his first true fish!  Grandpa was able to catch it on video and daddy was there to witness himself too.  It was the first thing Brady told his teachers about at school today.  Oh, and how the fish felt "yucky."
This was what I saw in my rear-view mirror for the majority of the drive home.  I think it is safe to say it was a successful Labor Day weekend.
