It’s a new year and I could not be more excited! I love the
idea of being able to start fresh with a clean slate. I don’t make resolutions,
per se; but I do like to brainstorm ways that I can improve in my own life and
that of my family’s.
This year, there are two themes that I want to concentrate
on. The first of these may sound a bit cliché
but I want to focus on being in the moment each day. I have a tendency to get bogged up in the hustle
and bustle of our ever-busy schedules and forget to slow down and enjoy the little
moments.
The second theme I want to concentrate on is doing
everything I can to keep all of us healthy.
I know it’s inevitable and there will be times when one of us is under
the weather. For Pete’s sake, my kids
are in school and my husband works with ill people every shift. Yet, I want to be more conscious of our
actions to eliminate spreading illnesses, what we are putting in our bodies,
how active we are, and what we are doing as preventative measures. When I look back at the toughest times during
the last year, they definitely involved sick babies.
What are you focusing on for the new year?
